Technology and Backward Compatibility

No room for compromise: A perfectly tailored solution for any requirement

Commend offers Intercom stations for virtually any environment that meet even highly specific requirements. For example, Intercom stations for hospitals are sealed in an antibacterial membrane. The Intercom terminals used in subway stations have a specially reinforced, vandalism resistant front panel, and systems for the petrochemical industry come with certified for explosion protection. A wide range of cabling and connection technologies is provided as well. Working in close consultation with our customers, our experts will plan and implement system concepts that are tailored precisely to their needs – whether server-based or serverless, using Ethernet or 2-wire connections, etc.

Future focussed backward compatibility

Back to the 80ies

Commend systems adapt easily and flexibly to your project requirements while remaining fully compatible with previous system generations. All Intercom stations (whether IP-based, digital or analogue) built since 1980 connect easily to our latest-generation servers. The wide selection of different connection technologies enables a step-by-step migration of third-party systems and the use of existing cables. New functions can be added in a matter of seconds via convenient software updates, without the need to replace expensive hardware. As a result, existing systems can be grown and expanded as and when needed. This way, you can always get the latest functions while saving time and money, and you can benefit from ultimate investment protection to boot.
